Description :
  • Coordinates facility condition assessments and as-builts as needed on existing vertical facilities.
  • Provides support in monitoring project budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Develops design solutions and reviews plans, specifications, maps, cost estimates, renderings and assists in obtaining permits in accordance with the Project goals, and in support of other Departments throughout the organization
  • Organizes close out documentation such as Operations and Maintenance Manuals (O&M) spreadsheets, As-Builts filing systems, and warranty request logs.
  • Assists Project Manager with construction administration to include tracking stakeholder added scope requests, Change Orders, submittal and substitution reviews, budget control and schedule.
  • Supports scope development, design reviews, and correspondence with internal stakeholders.
  • Researches material and product specifications.
  • Provides procurement support in assisting with Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Bid technical requirements.
  • Coordinates Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) contracts and tracks inventory and installation of FF&E. This may include systems furniture, computer and IT equipment and cabling, AV equipment and shelving systems.
  • Manages consultants, vendors, and contractors; reviews associated invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract documents and reviews and tracks against budget in CPMS Construction management software.
  • Represents San Antonio Water System (SAWS) with regulatory agencies, professional organizations, peer utilities, contractors, consultants, and vendors; establishes and maintains effective relationships with all SAWS stakeholders.
  • Researches applicable building regulations, codes, and standards and provides design recommendations to management to ensure SAWS’ compliance and to minimize regulatory exposure and liability.
  • Attends regular site visits and assists with Construction Administration documentation, including meeting notes and field reports .
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Administration, Construction Management, or Architectural Engineering or related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years’ experience in an architectural role on a Project team, this may include production of design documents and specifications or construction administration, or a combination of these tasks.
  • Valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat with ability to edit, markup, and communicate in PDF format.
